Is Bridge to Stability crisis accommodation?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Bridge to Stability is not crisis accommodation. Our neighbourhoods are designed to address the growing housing instability and homelessness crisis in Australia by providing stable, medium-term housing and structured support to people who are working to build a more secure future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How long can residents stay?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The program is designed to support residents to transition into standard housing within approximately two years. However, we recognise that progress does not always follow a fixed timeline, and transitions will be based on individual readiness rather than an automatic end date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Who is eligible?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Bridge to Stability is designed for low-income families who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness and who are willing and able to engage with the support framework offered through the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is it social housing?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Bridge to Stability is not government-run social housing. It is a charitable housing model designed to provide affordable, medium-term housing with structured support, and it follows similar affordability principles to social and community housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

How is rent set?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rent is intended to be set at an affordable proportion of household income, currently proposed at 30% of household income, subject to the final policy framework and any applicable funding or regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can this model be replicated elsewhere?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Yes. Bridge to Stability neighbourhoods are being designed as a replicable model that can be adapted and delivered in communities across Australia, with the goal of supporting thousands of families over time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
